Description:

Historically, data wasn’t readily available to make strategic decisions. Modern technology has now made many data sources available. Tools are emerging to help make sense of the data. In this presentation, case studies from College Station, TX and Portsmouth, NH will show how tools like signal performance measures (SPMs) and arterial performance measures (APMs) are used to maximize the performance of arterials.

Description:

In early 2019, SACOG selected Replica from an RFP process as the data vendor for their Big Data Pilot Project for Transportation Planning. Replica is a new approach to present the regional travel patterns based on the latest big data. The data in the Replica online platform includes all person trips made by SACOG residents and visitors, and commercial vehicle trips. Hear why SACOG selected Replica, how they validated Replica’s data, lessons learned, and how they are using Replica to help with SB 743 implementation and other initiatives.
