Description:

With the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), there’s a pressing need to make sure your application stands out. Cities, Counties, and Agencies are developing applications for bridge improvements, rail expansion, safety upgrades, electric vehicle chargers, and much more. To win funding, applicants need to tell a compelling story for why their project will improve the community across dimensions like congestion, environmental impact, equity, and safety and much more. Telling that story isn’t as simple as putting numbers in bullets. • Visualizations that can quickly and directly show impact
  • Demographic data to understand who will benefit

Evaluation of Work Zone Intrusion Alarm Systems

Time: 11:30am to 1:00pm

Location: Rancho Cordova City Hall, 2729 Prospect Park Dr, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670, American River Rooms

Cost: FREE for ITE Members, Students, and Sponsors; $5 General Admission

Description:

Maintaining worker safety in work zones is of paramount concern to highway agencies in the U.S. A Work Zone Intrusion Alarm (WZIA) system is designed to provide highway workers with additional warning of errant vehicles that may enter a work zone. The use of WZIA systems in California work zones would provide additional safety benefits for the benefit of work zone workers and reduce work zone fatalities.
